Operations Manager – Ecommerce (part-time 1 year fixed term contract)

Jazzwise.com is the UK’s leading specialist jazz supplier of instructional music books, scores, and software for musicians, educators, shops, schools and colleges.  The company also publishes Jazzwise magazine – the UK's biggest selling jazz magazine.  In order to support new business ventures and sales growth, we are creating a new post for an Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of Jazzwise.com’s core business routines. 

The postholder will have strong interpersonal and project management skills and be expected to play a key role in setting, achieving and reporting targets for sales, delivery, and customer service.  He/she will report to the Marketing Director and manage two members of the Operations Team. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership & responsibility for operations and systems maintenance
• Agreeing and reporting on KPIs using Excel, Crystal Reports and Sage
• Line managing, assisting and developing Operations team, liaising with the Accounts Manager as required.
• Assisting with marketing projects as required

Applicants should be educated to degree level and demonstrate experience of successfully managing business operations/complex projects.  Excellent IT skills, strong customer focus and a positive working attitude are essential.  We are looking for competencies such as teamworking, analysing and problem solving, managing and organising, attention to detail.
