The sax star returns to the UK for an extensive autumn tour in support of his acclaimed new album, Fearless Movement
LA tenor titan Kamasi Washington made an emphatic return in May with the release of his latest album, Fearless Movement, that recreates some of the excitement of his breakthrough 2015 triple LP, The Epic. Having hit the road in the US for an extensive series of dates this summer, UK fans will get a chance to catch the saxophonist this autumn on a run of nationwide dates.
Backed by his powerful live band that includes West Coast Get Down regulars such as bassist Miles Mosely, singer Patrice Quinn, keyboardist Brandon Coleman, and drummer Tony Austin among others, Washington and co play the following dates: Albert Hall, Manchester (15 Oct); O2 Academy Brixton, London (16 Oct); The Great Hall, Cardiff University (17 Oct); The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, Gateshead (20 Oct); Project House, Leeds (21 Oct); Barrowland Ballroom, Glasgow (22 Oct) and 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin (23 Oct).
