Leading UK jazz and world music promoters, Serious, will host a new series of Livestreams to support musicians during lockdown – kicking off on Friday 17 April with guitarist Rob Luft.
Serious will be hosting regular weekly Livestreams on their Facebook and YouTube pages, with plans to feature album launches to live event replacements and beyond, to do their bit to keep the music scene alive in these unprecedented times.
The guitarist is an alumnus of the Serious Take Five talent development scheme, as well as being currently selected as the jazz artist for the BBC’s New Generation Scheme 2020-2021.
Luft will launch his highly anticipated new album, Life Is The Dancer, his second LP for Edition Records, and will preview the full record that he will also present at this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival in November.
As well as incorporating effects pedals and live loops to simulate a full band experience, Luft will also be joined by his fellow EFG London Jazz Festival artist, long-term musical and current isolation partner Elina Duni on piano and vocals for a unique take on his new material.
The concert will be livestreamed on Friday 17 April, from Serious’ Facebook and YouTube pages – at the following Livestream international timezones:
BST 7pm
PDT 11am
EST 2pm
CEST 8pm
