The US jazz vocal sensation returns to the UK for her biggest shows on these shores so far
Fast rising US singer Samara Joy will return in the Spring for a full UK tour that will include her biggest headline show to date when she plays London’s iconic Roundhouse as part of the ‘In the Round Festival’ on 27 April. First signed to UK-based Whirlwind Recordings for her eponymous 2021 debut, her 2022 follow up, Linger Awhile earned her two Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Album and the much-coveted Best New Artist award.
Her eagerly awaited follow-up is rumoured to be due out on Verve in the latter half of this year. Only 24 years old, Joy is still getting used to this recent success, commenting: “I'm still very much a student, even though I've graduated. So this is only the beginning… there is much, much more to come.”
Tour dates are: Band on the Wall, Manchester (22 April); Usher Hall, Edinburgh (23 April); Town Hall, Birmingham (25 April); Roundhouse, London (27 April) and Saffron Hall, Saffron Walden (28 April).
