Empirical – Deeper Connections

Eight years into their ever-questing and consistently creative existence, acclaimed British four-piece Empirical have recently adopted unusual tactics in a bid to alter the dynamics of the artist-audience relationship.

Recording their most recent album, Connection, after a week of highly interactive gigs in January last year, they’ve recently taken their music direct to the public via a series of performances at Old Street underground station in London. Kevin Le Gendre catches up with the group to discover how directly connecting with their listeners has shaped their music in new and unexpected ways
