Manchester-born and based, trumpeter Matthew Halsall first emerged with his 2008 debut Sending My Love, standing out from the crowd with his golden tone and a glowing melodic warmth to his music.

Also establishing his Gondwawa Records imprint as a dynamic and successful jazz indie label, driven by the rise of GoGo Penguin and emerging guitar star Stuart McCallum, he’s matched his native city’s renowned dance roots by giving authentic musicianship powerful pin-sharp production.
