London-based trio Partikel have been threatening to do big things since their fine eponymous 2010 debut, and its melodically-charged follow up, Cohesion.
With a core trio of questing saxophonist/composer Duncan Eagles, in-demand bassist Max Luthert and powerhouse drummer Eric Ford, their third album StringTheory weaves an improvising string quartet into their tightly-knit group dynamic. Daniel Spicer spoke to Eagles about the trials and tribulations of expanding the band’s sonic universe
