The renowned singer returns with a set of swinging Yuletide favourites
Following the success of her critically acclaimed album Meshuga Baby (released earlier this year and given a four-star review in Jazzwise), leading UK jazz vocalist Emma Smith gets into the Christmas spirit with new online EP Snowbound, a series of swinging arrangements of some lesser-known vintage Yuletide classics and familiar favourites.
Featuring a stellar cast of long-time collaborators and expert jazz musicians including saxophonist Alex Garnett, pianist Ross Stanley, drummer Ed Richardson and guitar player Nick Costly-White, Snowbound is a much-needed celebration of holiday cheer, delivered with Smith’s characteristic vocal brio.
Snowbound will be released on 10 December – and Smith will be celebrating its launch with a gig at London’s Pizza Express Jazz Club, Soho on the same day.
