The album features his regular quintet, a pan-European/African line-up who have performed extensively together and have been tipped as “one of Europe’s sharpest bands” by The Sunday Times. They include comprising Greek Keyboardist Georgios Kontrafouris, Ethiopian-born percussionist Abdissa “Mamba” Assefa, along with fellow players on the Finnish scene Antti Lötjönen on bass and Teppo “Teddy Rok” Mäkynen on drums. The band is also performing at this year’s Brecon Jazz Festival, on 8 August.
