Herbie Hancock To Top London Jazz Festival Bill With Festival Hall and Barbican Concerts

Herbie Hancock will head this year’s London Jazz Festival, his first London dates in two years. Held in association with BBC Radio 3, the London Jazz Festival is to run from Friday 14 November to Sunday 23 November across most major London concert halls, including the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, the Barbican and Kings Place, the major new arts and culture venue at King’s Cross. Herbie Hancock is the first artist to be announced for the festival and he will play special concerts at both the Southbank’s RFH (on 15 November) and the Barbican (19 November). Other bookings for the festival this year include Dhafer Youssef and Joanna MacGregor with Britten Sinfonia (QEH, 14 Nov), Richard Bona + Danilo Perez (Barbican, 16 Nov), Manu Katché Band + Iro Haarla (QEH, 17 Nov) and Courtney Pine + Empirical (Barbican, 20 Nov).
