Trumpeter and Banger Factory label boss Mark Kavuma, will launch is new album, Magnum Opus, at the EFG London Jazz Festival on Sunday 17 November at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. Kavuma is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of jazz while inspiring the next generation of players.

Magnum Opus presents original compositions, arrangements and performances by veterans of the British jazz scene such as tenor saxophonist Mussinghi Brian Edwards and vocalist Marcina Arnold, alongside the new generation of artists: vocalist Sahra Gure, saxophonists Theo Erskine and Ruben Fox, guitarist Artie Zaitz, pianist Noah Stoneman as well as Mark Kavuma himself. Also featured are the performances from other leading lights such as Reuben James, Deschanel Gordon, David Mrakpor, Misha Fox, Jack Thomas, William Cleasby, Wilf Diamond, Jake Zaitz, Christ-Stephan Boizi, Marcus Praestgaard and Jack Garside

Commenting on the album Kavuma said: “There is strength in the difference between us but at the heart of everything The Banger Factory does is the idea that everyone has a part to play. Everyone brings something to the table; everyone has something to share. When everybody contributes, we become part of something bigger.”
