Metropole Orkest, Kurt Elling/Charlie Hunter, Jazzmeia Horn, Richard Bona and more for 32nd Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más

This year’s festival will feature a stunning show from the internationally renowned Metropole Orkest, one of the most famous and prestigious musical ensembles in the world

The 32nd Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más also features high-calibre names such as multi-Grammy Award winning singer Kurt Elling and his collaborative project with incredible guitarist Charlie Hunter; Portuguese singer Salvador Sobral, winner of the Eurovisión Festival 2017; drummer Manu Katché, a member in Peter Gabriel’s touring band; one of the great female jazz singers of the moment, Jazzmeia Horn; two prominent bass players, Cameroonian virtuoso Richard Bona and the phenomenally funky Nik West from the USA, who was part of Prince’s live band… These are just some of the artists who will take the stage at the various public squares, theatres, auditoriums and music halls in the Canary Islands, between 30 June and 23 July.

The Metropole Orkest’s list of stellar collaborations includes such luminaries as Ella FitzgeraldDizzy GillespiePat Metheny and Herbie Hancock. They’ve also worked with the next generation of stars such as Robert GlasperWoodkidSnarky PuppyCory HenryLouis ColeJacob Collier and Gregory Porter, some of whom have recently featured at the festival. This really will be an unmissable opportunity to hear them in the stunning setting of the Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz & Más.
