Moon Hooch dubstep beyond with UK Tour

Thursday, August 11, 2016

Having blown away the crowd at Love Supreme Jazz Festival, dubstep-fuelled power trio Moon Hooch – who make earth shattering noises with baritone sax (occasionally with a traffic cone rammed in the end), tenor sax and drums line-up – return to the UK in September for a four-date tour.

Comprised of tenor saxophonist Mike Wilbur, who blends circular breathing, scorching lead work and frenzied soloing to fiery effect, baritone sax/bass clarinet titan Wenzl McGowen who provides the foundation shaking bass sounds, and drummer James Muschler who propels the mayhem with a series of infectious beats, the band joins the likes of Sons Of Kemet, The Comet Is Coming and GoGo Penguin with their organic blend of jazz and dance music. Catch them on the following dates: Patterns, Brighton (16 Sept); Arts Club, Liverpool (17 Sept); Ramsbottom Festival (18 Sept); Newhampton Arts Center, Wolverhampton (20 Sept); The Junction, Plymouth (21 Sept); Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff (23 Sept); Neuadd Ogwen, Wales (24 Sept) and O2 Academy, Islington, London (25 Sept).
