The expansive South East London arts venue Woolwich Works has announced that the Steam Down Big Band featuring National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) will headline the highly anticipated Brassworks Finale Concert this Saturday 21 September 2024 alongside tuba star Theon Cross, Ezra Cllective trumpeter Ife Ogunjobi and award-winning saxophonist Camilla George.

This groundbreaking collaboration promises a thrilling fusion of vibrant, modern jazz and bold brass sounds, offering an unforgettable musical experience for all in attendance. Following their debut appearance at the Kings Cross Summer Sounds festival, The Steam Down Big Band, made up of Steam Down regulars and a NYJO brass section will close out the Brassworks finale with an energetic and innovative performance that blends the raw, spontaneous energy of London’s underground jazz scene with the polished brilliance of brass instrumentation.
