The Miles Davis Exhibition will display 60 pieces of the trumpeter’s highly collectable artwork, from original sketches to larger abstract paintings, which have been the subject of two books as well as appearing on Miles’ album sleeve artwork. In the just released film Miles Ahead, which focuses in semi-fictional style on a brief period around 1980 before Miles comeback, the actor Don Cheadle, who plays the role of Miles, is seen drawing and painting in his recording studio. The exhibition is presented by Keith Denney, who has held a number of successful Miles exhibitions since the mid-1990s, and will also include 35 of John Lennon’s whimsical drawings and sketches. All work displayed is available to purchase and admission is free. The Dundas Street Gallery is at 6 Dundas Street, Edinburgh EH3 6HZ
