The talented Japanese pianist presents a frenetic fusion-edged track from his trio’s debut EP

Fleet-fingered pianist/keyboardist Hideaki Ura, also known as ‘Hide’ (pronounced ‘Hee-Day’), graduated from Berklee College of Music in May 2020, and describes his music as “complicated and highly skilled, while being based on a range of music genres such as jazz, fusion, progressive rock, metal, djent and classical” – which can be seen and heard in this high-energy track featuring his bandmates, drummer Alex Silvergold and bass guitarist Kevin Barber. This is the lead single (available 11th December) from his Intersection after Illusion EP, which is due for release in early 2021 on London-based imprint, Ubuntu Music.
