Offering a taste of their upcoming UK tour and summer festival appearances, powerful nine-piece Nubiyan Twist recently took to the stage at The Leadmill in Sheffield to film a live version of their current jazz-funk single ‘Lights Out’. 

The studio version of ‘Lights Out’ features legendary Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers and will appear on their vibrant fourth album Find Your Flame, which is released on 3 May. The new album weaves together global grooves, soul and jazz; expertly intertwined with electronic elements, horn-led melodies and spontaneous improvisation.

Alongside Nile Rodgers, Nubiyan Twist have also enlisted Nigerian Afrobeat luminary Seun Kuti, celebrated Malian singer and musician Mamani Keita as well as homegrown UK talent corto.alto, Ria Moran, K.O.G. & NEONE the Wonderer. The album also marks a significant evolution for the group, welcoming Sheffield-based vocalist Aziza Jaye to the forefront.
