Bristol based keyboardist teams up with animator Chris Lucas to create a fun and immersive video

Rising star keys player Rebecca Nash released her highly imaginative debut album Peaceful King last year to much acclaim. The album showcased her striking compositions as well as he fine band of Sara Colman (vocals), Nicholas Malcolm (trumpet), Thomas Seminar Ford (guitar), Chris Mapp (bass), Matt Fisher (drums) and guest Nick Walters (trumpet).

Rebecca describes the video for the track ‘Inishbofin’:

“We’re so happy to share this music video of ‘Inishbofin’ with everyone at Jazzwise. Our goal was to bring the front cover of Peaceful King to life in a visual way, and Chris Lucas our creator has achieved just that. He’s done such a wonderful job animating all the different images and themes that tell the album’s story. Designer Ning Ning Li used her own face as a template and starting point for the front cover, and then built layer upon layer, incorporating the imagery from each track, one tune at a time, using the narrative of each song as inspiration. Just like the artwork, Chris' video is slightly abstract, which has the effect of drawing in the viewer, only reaching its resolution at the end. We love it so much, and are looking forward to releasing the next video soon, stay tuned, it’s on its way!”
