Renowned sitar master brings together an all-star band for his new album

The Mumbai-based Sitar maestro Purbayan Chatterjee brings together Indian classical, jazz and contemporary worlds on his new star-studded album, Unbounded Abaad, which is released on 10 September on Sufiscore records.

The album features songs full of spirit and energy with an impressive array of musicians from India, Afghanistan, the US and UK, merging local flavours of Latin, Jazz, Folk, Country, Sufi tradition, Western and Hindustani classical music.

Among the scintillating performers collaborating with Chatterjee are leading Indian virtuosos Zakir Hussain, V. Selvaganesh, U. Rajesh, Shankar Mahadevan, Deepak Pandit and Rashid Khan alongside Grammy winning banjoist Béla Fleck, master drummers Gary Husband (John McLaughlin 4th Dimension) and Antonio Sanchez (Pat Metheny), bassist Michael League (Snarky Puppy), keyboardist Jordan Rudess (Dreamtheater), vocalist Thana Alexa, clarinettist Anat Cohen and many more.
