Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity documentary to coincide with sax legend’s 90th birthday

A new three-part documentary, Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity, will be screened on Amazon’s Prime Video and look at all aspects of Shorter’s extraordinary career and long list of big name collaborators

A three-part documentary, Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity, will launch on Friday 25 August 25 on Prime Video on what is the late saxophonist’s 90th birthday – emphasising Shorter’s immense influence on modern jazz and fearless approach to making music ‘without a net’.

Celebrating the life and achievements of the jazz legend it’s directed by Dorsay Alavi and executive produced by Brad Pitt and Carlos Santana. The film focused on different eras of Shorter's life and features interviews with luminaries such as Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Marcus Miller and Esperanza Spalding among others.
