Whip It Out: Win the Whiplash Blu-ray/DVD!

Without a doubt Whiplash has been one of the big movie sensations so far in 2015 and, surprisingly for a three times Academy Award winner, is a film centering on jazz education, albeit in an extremely brutal fashion, as its core theme.
Whiplash is the story of the roller-coaster relationship between hard-headed music teacher Terence Fletcher, played by J.K. Simmons, and a young jazz musician student with a Buddy Rich fixation, Andrew Neiman, played by Miles Teller, as the teacher puches the drummer to the edge of his abilities, and sanity. Set against a bullying do or die backdrop of a big band competition, it's a terrific seat-edge drama that, perhaps unintentionally, has caused a degree of controversy among the jazz and drum community, and created debate in the national press earlier this year.
Whiplash is released on Blu-ray and DVD by Sony Music Home Entertainment on 1 June and to celebrate the release Sony have given Jazzwise three copies to win in our Whip It Out competition together with a Buddy Rich DVD and CD courtesy of Weinerworld Ltd.
First prize is a Whiplash DVD or Blu-ray plus Buddy Rich The Lost Tapes DVD and Buddy Rich Birdland CD, and there are two runner-up prizes of a Whiplash DVD or Blu-ray.
