Helen Mayhew back at Jazz FM

Hot on the heels of its recent Rajar radio listening figures, which clocked-up a respectable 408,000 listeners per week, Jazz FM has announced that the popular jazz DJ Helen Mayhew will return to the DAB station from 1 July.
Mayhew, who was previously with Jazz FM for many years presenting the Dinner Jazz shows before the station closed and she began presenting a similar show with theJazz DAB, will be sharing the Dinner Jazz slot with Sarah Ward, who won Jazz Broadcaster of The Year at the recent Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Sarah Ward will helm the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night slots between 7-10pm and Mayhew will present the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shows as well as a new magazine-style show on Sunday afternoons from 1pm that will focus on new music and musicians as well as the latest jazz events and news. With Dinner Jazz extending to Friday night Mike Chadwick’s Latin jazz show will start at 10pm on Fridays.
