Jazz breaking news: Match&Fuse Ready to Rock once more – Exclusive Jazzwise reader ticket price offer

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Expansive prog-jazz mini-festival Match&Fuse returns next week on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 July, after a successful first event outside the UK in Oslo in June (pictured left and reviewed in the August issue of Jazzwise by Daniel Spicer) and its inaugural first run last year that culminated in over 1,000 people watching trioVD in Gillett Square.

This year’s event features an even more diverse line up with bands from Norway, Poland, Italy, UK and France all set to appear. Match&Fuse was established by keyboard player Dave Morecroft, of prog-jazz band WorldService Project, to promote inter-cultural performances with cutting-edge, genre-hopping bands from across Europe: ‘matching’ bands with a creative symbiosis, and enabling them to ‘fuse’ together.

Hosted by east London venues the Vortex, in Dalston, and Rich Mix, in Shoreditch, there is a tantalising range of live performances, with live DJ sets at the end of both evenings, an open rehearsal with the Laura Jurd Quartet and Mopti, and seminars for working musicians.

We have an exclusive early-bird Jazzwise offer, where you can grab a limited number of reduced-price tickets forboth days at £20 (reduced from £30 – click here to buy) or just for Rich Mix on Friday at £8 (reduced from £15 – click here to buy).
