Jazz breaking news: OPT Trio Play Teignmouth Tonight Ahead Of Next Month’s Three-Day Jazz Festival

The Norma Winstone trio, Kit Downes plus guests, and the duo of Ivo Neame and Jim Hart are all confirmed for the Teignmouth Jazz Festival in Devon next month, one of the last jazz festivals of 2011.
Running over three days, the fest takes place in venues in and around the seaside town of Teignmouth, south of Exeter, on 18-20 November, including the Carlton Theatre, Alice Cross Centre, Oystercatchers Café, Teign Heritage Centre, Coast View Holiday Park and the United Reformed Church.
Before the festival begins, and as a taster for next month’s events, at the Oystercatchers Café tonight there's a must-hear gig featuring the superb OPT Trio of avant garde pianist John Law, bassist Yuri Goloubev (Gwilym Simcock trio), and drummer Asaf Sirkis (Orient House Ensemble).
