Pizza Express Jazz Club To Host New Food Night With Kit Downes, Chris Montague, Royst and MA

Next month on 22 June the Pizza Express Jazz Club on Dean Street in London’s Soho will host a special £10 night featuring four different projects highlighting some of the most talked-about new musicians and bands on the London jazz scene.
The line-up will be: a solo guitar set by Chris Montague, the Kit Downes Trio (pianist Downes, bassist Calum Gourlay and drummer James Maddren), a short set by vocal trio Royst and a full set from saxophonist Tom Challenger’s MA (Challenger, keyboards player Ross Stanley and drummer Dave Smith). The night has been put together by pianist Kit Downes, who appeared on Empirical’s self-titled debut album.
