Speake is out and about

One of the more mystifyingly undersung UK saxophonists Martin Speake is set to tour next month in the stellar company of Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson, bassist Steve Watts and ex-Lee Konitz drummer Jeff Williams.
The Change Of Heart tour named after Speake’s album for ECM takes in the Vortex, London (9-10 February), Sallis Benney Theatre, Brighton (11 February), Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff (12 February), St George’s Bristol (13 February), CBSO Centre, Birmingham (14 February) and Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry (15 February).
