Mixing their edible metaphors brilliant UK saxophonist Iain Ballamy’s group Food and Norwegian accordionist Stian Carstensen’s ensemble Farmers Market toured together to great acclaim last year.
On this duo date the striking resonance of Ballamy’s tenor and Carstensen’s squeeze-box piano create a rich sonorous whole and both excel in creating a sum that sounds way beyond its parts for range, tone and subtlety.
