Nguyên Lê profile

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

Vietnamese guitar virtuoso Nguyên Lê has carved himself a unique position as a fusion guitarist whose improvisational and technical prowess

are supple enough to incorporate legato Asian-infused lines and screaming Hendrix-inspired runs in the same bar. A self-taught musician this unique approach has seen him work with a long and varied list of world-class players including Huong Thangh, Paulo Fresu, Terri Lyne Carrington, Meshell Ndegéocello, Peter Esrkine and Chris Potter and both the Orchestre National de Jazz and the WDR Big Band.
