Radio historians will no doubt love the stilted chat and repetitive programming of this further tranche of shows from 1959-60, [for earlier review, see Jazzwise 176] but the majority of tracks are better served by Bilk’s Pye/Nixa recordings of the time. Do we really need more versions of ‘Summerset’ and ‘Acker’s Away’, let alone all the military marches?
