Recorded live in a venue close to Tokyo at the end of a Japanese tour last year, this collaboration between revered Japanese free-jazz saxophonist Sakata and bassist Seo, the Cologne-based experimental Russian piano virtuoso Nabatov and Australian drummer Darren Moore is sometimes a hurtling Ayler-esque skronk-out, at others an intensely otherworldly and alien coming together.
