Back to the West Coast in 1956 for another pairing of lesser-known studio big bands, one led by the agile clarinetist Bill Hitz, with some fi ne reed arranging and a swinging rhythm team led by Gerald Wiggins, which outplays the rather lumbering rock'n’roll infl uenced band of McRitchie.
