The Philadelphian avant-garde pianist-composer Marilyn Crispell’s poignant ode to her deceased parents and relatives on the first half of Dream Libretto is stark and scattered in texture and features ambient-electronica artist Richard Teitelbaum and violinist Tanya Kalmanovitch – the latter in lighter, more contrapuntal chamber duets with Crispell on the disc’s second half.
