Weiss achieved early international coverage as a participant in Guitar Idol 2016 which still crops up on Sky Arts, He's since established himself as a teacher and performer centred upon his Tel Aviv base, With roots well established in prog rock and fusion, Weiss plays with a virtuosic flair, underwritten by the likes of Connors, di Meola and Holdsworth, His USP though is a romantic, almost visionary delivery, exemplified on the opening ‘Land of the Dreamers’, replete with long flowing lines, Indeed, Weiss rarely explodes into the sound and fury often associated with neo prog stylings and instead tries to meld his fluid style into the wider composition, He may be helped in this respect in that all tracks are co-written with keys man Taubenhouse, with only the slow ballad ‘Coming Home’ solely credited to the guitarist, The addition of Abramov's saxes, notably to ‘Toothpick’ and ‘Earth’ also widen the sonic palette, adding a sometimes-needed sense of colour.
