Overlapping the (still available) 1989 Bluebird anthology Hocus Pocus, this offers an overview of Henderson from 1925-37, but some choices are odd, and Don Redman’s name is consistently misspelled in the notes. For twice the (bargain) price go for the 3CD Study in Frustration from Essential Jazz Classics.
