Another of BBE’s reissues of rare 1970s Japanese jazz, this focuses on saxophonist Matsukaze (who takes an inventive trio trip through Monk’s ‘’Round Midnight’ between originals) and a partnership on most tracks with pianist Daitoku. Well worth hearing for a different take on the jazz of the period.
