This is the May 1958 session by the Kind of Blue sextet (with Bill Evans) minus the alternate take of ‘Fran Dance’, but plus that July’s live Newport set. Columbia’s own reissue on the complete Miles/Coltrane 6CD set is better remastered, but the music remains sublime.
