These New York rabble-rousers take their name from a track on Albert Ayler's New Grass and resurrect the saxophonist's holy ghost via wild conflations of free music and fourth world exotica. Tracks such as the riotous 75 Dollar Bill-alike ‘Nose Beers’ and the inappropriately named ‘Silent Boogie’ reverberate on the fringes of hedonistic abandon, cutting loose from motorik rhythms and Rhys Chatham-like repetition to stimulate bouts of sun-bleached deliria that find their disorienting antecedent in the opiated writings of Sadegh Hedayat (SG).
