Leeds again, with a piano trio fronted by pianist Matthew Alpin that epitomises the DIY scene there; evolving during arts council-backed tours in 2018-19 it has the individualistic spirit of the city's cult Bourne-Davis-Kane and more modernist trios such as Paul Bley's.
