A really interesting and effective anthology this, gathering female pianists, instrumental or vocal soloists, and all-girl orchestras into one CD each, and it’s particularly good to see our own Kathy Stobart recognised alongside Melba Liston, Valaida Snow and Vi Redd as a leading female soloist.
