Recorded during the 1972 Montreux Jazz Festival, it was as much Corea's gig as it was Stan's. This is the Captain Marvel band with Chick responsible for five of the seven tracks. The non-Corea compositions being the ballads ‘Lush Life’ and ‘I Remember Clifford’. At the time perhaps too much was made of Getz mothballing his money-spinning Bossa Nova adventures to pursue a quasi-fusion avenue. Fact is Stan didn't overhaul either his lyrical approach or his familiar signature sound leaving it up to Corea, Clarke and Williams to heat up the rhythms. This package comprises a DVD of the actual performance with Stan dressed all in white and giving the appearance of a successful tennis pro. A second disc is the audio equivalent.
