Of course, you may not be amused if you bought separately the five CDs that comprise this lounge core collection of all that is eternally hip. But the rest of us can coo contentedly while we're royally entertained, whether our taste is for the sublimely daft (ah, ‘Daktari’ – where now the cross-eyed lions of our youth?) or the ridiculously good, like Betty Carter swooning through ‘'Round Midnight’. Indeed, between the schlock there are buried treasures, from Ray Charles' ‘Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin”, to, um, more Betty Carter. And let's face it, without such classics, where would Ian Shaw and Lea DeLaria be today? Right, off with the mules, on with the boa, let's shimmy – because you're worth it.
