Love Supreme, Europe’s biggest greenfield jazz festival, is set to return to Glynde Place, East Sussex from 4 to 6 July 2025 with a bill packed with the biggest names in jazz, soul and funk.

The organisers have confirmed the first name to be announced is multi-platinum-selling neo-soul superstar Maxwell – the 13-time Grammy Award-nominee and triple-Grammy winner, whose debut album Urban Hang Suite propelled him to international fame in the late 1990s, will close the festival on the evening of Sunday 6 July for what will be his first UK appearance in nine years and only UK date of 2025.

Alongside the likes of Erykah Badu and D’Angelo, Brooklyn-born Maxwell played a pivotal role in the evolution of the neo-soul movement of the late ‘90s. His 1996 debut Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite earned multiple Grammy nominations, double platinum status and spawned the hit single 'Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)'.

Platinum-selling albums Embrya (1998) and Now (2001) followed and in 2009 Maxwell’s BLACKsummers’night debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning him two Grammys including Best R&B Album, before latest album BLACKsummers’night earned a third Grammy, and cemented his status within the pantheon of all-time R&B greats.

The full programme will be announced in the coming months with the first jazz names to be confirmed in early November. Jazzwise is festival media partner.
