The acclaimed saxophonist leads her art-inspired project for a fund-raising concert
Free thinking alto saxophonist Dee Byrne plays a special performance with her Outlines band at the National Jazz Archive in Loughton, Essex on Saturday 1 June. Joined by her band, of clarinettist Tom Ward, bassist Olie Brice and drummer Andrew Lisle, Byrne explores the inner and outer edges of live composition based on ideas and sketches that developed through use of visual art in practice sessions.
The performance , which is a fund raiser for the NJA, takes place at 1.30pm on Saturday 1 June in Loughton Baptist Church, 2 minutes’ walk from the National Jazz Archive which is situated at The Jazz Hub, Central Library, Traps Hill, Loughton, Essex, UK IG10 1HD.
