Jazzwise – April 2024

The April issue of Jazzwise is out now with UK jazz giant Shabaka Hutchings on the cover, inside discussing his new album Perceive its Beauty, Acknowledge its Grace, that features a whole universe of flute sounds and all-star guest performances.

Also in the issue is our Mega 2024 UK and Europe Jazz Fest Guide – your essential look at all of this year’s best jazz festivals across the UK and Continent; there’s also a celebration of the life and music of iconic jazz singer Sarah Vaughan on the centenary of her birth; a fascinating deep dive feature on the ultra-hip sounds of 1950s West Coast US jazz that emerged in the wake of East Coast bebop and spawned a legion of innovative new players and composers.
